Here at Maxwell's we are very proud of our history. We have been trading since 1940 and in that time many electrical businesses have come and gone, yet in this volatile and price-led market we find ourselves going from strength to strength.
Of course this has not happened by chance - we believe in providing our customer's with what they want - when they want it. We have many loyal customer's who come back again and again.
Why?, well we believe that our customers demand a better standard of service, better quality brands and competitive prices. We can do all these things because we are an independent, family-run business that has the purchasing power of a typically large multiple chain of stores.
How?, because Maxwell's are a member of Euronics - a Pan-European buying group that purchases for all its members allowing us to keep our prices as low as possible.

Maxwell's are also members of RETRA (the Radio, Electrical, Television Retailers Association). RETRA represent trusted Electrical Retailers and associated Service Providers to help give consumers high quality service. All RETRA members must abide by a code of Practice.

Maxwell's is a family business run by the Burton family. They employ over 20 members of staff - most of whom have been with the company for many years and are specifically trained for their particular role in the company.
